Talk Story with Chris Gampon

We are so happy to welcome our new General Manager, Chris Gampon to the Timbers Kaua‘i at Hōkūala family. Chris was born and raised on Kaua‘i, and joined the team in March of this year. Please join us in a warm aloha and welcome to Chris as we learn more about him in this month’s Talk Story.

From plant medicine to food and shelter, nature’s provisions have carried the community on the islands for centuries. By taking our kuleana to the ʻāina seriously, we welcome our Owners and guests onto our farm to learn about sustainable farming and the history of our sacred endemic tree species.

With the intention of bringing great community groups together for a common goal, Timbers Kauaʻi at Hōkūala co-hosted a volunteer event with Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi on June 17th, 2023.

Timbers Kaua‘i and Hōkūala are proud to announce a new partnership with National Tropical Botanical Gardens (NTBG), who have graciously donated native plants to our collection at The Farm at Hōkūala in an effort to preserve the seeds of growth the Garden Island is known for.

2022 marks The Farm at Hōkūala’s fourth year, and we are starting to see our trees mature, our crops flourish, and our owners’ coconut grove expand as we welcome new members to our extended ‘Ohana.
