The guest services team at Timbers Kauaʻi embodies the heart of hoʻokipa. Hoʻokipa is a Hawaiian word that refers to the art of genuine hospitality extended with the spirit of Aloha. From the heartfelt welcome upon arrival to the careful curation of a perfect stay filled with unique cultural experiences, activity adventures, and delicious local food, hoʻokipa is a kuleana, or responsibility, that is warmly and eagerly embraced by the Concierge and dedicated Front Desk staff at Timbers Kaua‘i.

Showcasing the best of the Garden Isle

Ely Garcia, Front Desk Supervisor explained, “Each of us is deeply passionate about sharing the beauty of our culture and lifestyle. Our Owners and guests are our ʻohana, our family, and we want them to love everything about their time spent with us and to be enriched by all that they have seen and done while visiting our island home. Everyone works together to make this happen!”

A Water Wonderland

Each day here promises experiences you have only dreamed about and our knowledgeable Concierge team is dedicated to make sure you don’t miss out on any of them!  Perhaps that includes an early morning adventure aboard a private fishing charter, or whale-watching or snorkeling amidst the green sea turtles and tropical fish. Kauaʻi is the ultimate water adventure playground.

Our on-site Activity Adventures Crew offers kayaking and stand-up paddling in the Hōkūala lagoons and at Kalapakī Bay, which is conveniently located adjacent to the resort for riding waves. Take a guided eco-adventure kayak tour to see a secret waterfall or hop on board a Zodiac Raft to explore the waterfalls and sea caves along the seventeen-mile Nāpali coast. Or sail on a leisurely catamaran for a sunset dinner as you soak up the most beautiful coastline in all of Hawaiʻi.

For a unique island experience, Concierge recommends a mountain tubing adventure. Float down miles of open canals and through tunnels deep in the mountains. This is a fun adventure for the whole family!

Off the Beaten Track

A fun fact about Kauaʻi is that only 15% of the island is accessible by foot and the rest can be seen by boat or from a luxury aircraft for a bird’s eye view of the majestic Hanapepe Valley, the cliffs of Bali Hai, and the crater of a dormant volcano, Mt. Waiʻaleʻale, which is also one of the wettest spots on earth!

For an unbeatable off-roading adventure, Concierge recommends Kipu Ranch Adventures. Explore tropical forests, picturesque pastures, and cascading waterfalls on an ATV excursion. The stunning scenery at Kipu Ranch is featured in blockbuster movies such as Raiders of The Lost Ark, The Descendants, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park, and more.

Keiki at Play

There is a wide variety of activities for the keiki, or children, to enjoy right here in our backyard!

A popular activity on the property is Coconut Painting! The painted coconut serves as a memento for years to come of time spent here at Timbers Kauaʻi as a family. Fishing the Hōkūala lagoons is a fun catch-and-release activity for all ages, grown-ups included. The Scavenger Hunt is perfect for those looking for a leisurely adventure. It is also great for the aspiring photographer as pictures of the treasures collected are taken during the hunt. Hula lessons and ʻukulele lessons are available or your keiki may enjoy learning how to string a flower lei or weave a ti-leaf bracelet!

Head over to The Courts at Hōkūala for a game of pickleball or tennis (opening soon) or embark on a nature tour to learn about the endangered birds and wildlife that inhabit this special place. Visit The Farm at Hōkūala and take the tour to learn about  canoe crops and tropical fruits. The keiki love to visit with the Monarch butterflies at The Farm! With miles of adventure trails to bike and explore there is no shortage of opportunities for adventure here!

We look forward to hosting you at Timbers Kauaʻi and curating the perfect itinerary for you and your family!
