Showcasing the Power of Community with Operation: Rising Star 2023

On December 17, 2023, Hōkūala held the 2nd annual Operation: Rising Star Golf Tournament in support of Folds of Honor. Timbers Kaua‘i, Hōkūala, and The Ocean Course at Hōkūala are proud to be part of a vibrant ‘ohana and we are thankful for the immense support shown by this community.
This year, thanks to our generous sponsors, local businesses, and personal donors, Operation: Rising Star has raised nearly $100,000, funding 20 educational scholarships. All of these proceeds benefit Folds of Honor recipients throughout Hawai‘i.

We are humbled and honored to host Folds of Honor founder and CEO, Lt Col Dan Rooney, who attended and participated in Operation: Rising Star. Lt Col Rooney’s words and presence is a true testament to the Folds of Honor commitment and dedication to the communities they support.
Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 51,000 scholarships with 45% of all awarded representing minority recipients.
