Hōkūala hosted the inaugural Operation Rising Star golf tournament at the award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Ocean Course on December 18, 2022. The entire Hōkūala ‘ohana dug deep and found a way to complete their mission last month, despite the rain!

Proceeds of the golf tournament will go directly to Folds of Honor, who provide scholarships for spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders. Our goal was to provide $5,000 scholarship to at least 27 requests received throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Operation Rising Star has so far raised over $115,000, a total which equates to 23 scholarships that will now be distributed by Folds of Honor to those military families in need of educational funding.

2022's Inaugural Event Wrap-Up

Although the weather was not ideal, everyone had an amazing time for such a worthy cause. We are so humbled to have partnered with Lt. Col. Dan Rooney and Folds of Honor and know that this is just the beginning.

Next year’s tournament has been tentatively set for Sunday, December 17th. We strongly believe in investing in our community, our youth’s education, and their future.

Weren’t able to make the tournament? You can still donate here.
