Aloha! We’re Art and Victoria Lofton, from Huntington Beach, Calif. We’ve been coming to Kauai on vacation for  the last 10 to 15 years. We have spent time at the other islands (Oahu, Maui and Molokai), but really love the beauty and balance of activity and peacefulness of Kauai.

We discovered Timbers Kauai when we were on vacation and saw the Open House sign for Hokuala. We first met Chris Stiebler in the stunning lobby, and it was love at first sight as he took us through the tour of the resort. It was not only the beauty of the property but the warm Ohana feeling that we got from everyone that we came  across that made us feel instantly at home.

We purchased in May 2019 and came for our first stay in late June-early July. It exceeded our high expectations and just confirmed that we made the right decision. Our first visit was truly priceless with the memories of our Tree Planting Ceremony, during which  we honored Victoria’s father George and my mother Ola by naming our tree “GeorgeOla.”

We feel right at home when we first arrive and set up our pictures and Cappuccino machine. Then, we walk around the property  trading hugs and catching up with both the amazing Timbers staff, as well as other owners that we’ve met and become friends with: It’s paradise combined with the comforts of home.

Victoria and I are both retired and don’t have any children but love sharing the Hokuala experience with our family and friends. We have had some wonderful gatherings, large parties and delicious dinners in-residence during the course of our visits so far. Hualani’s Restaurant, with Chef Zach, provides an amazing farm-to-table  experience.

We have enjoyed the amazing paradise of Hokuala, combining a spectacular property with amazing people,  and look forward to many more priceless memories to come.
