The Ocean Course at Hokuala, recognized by the World Golf Awards 2019 as Hawaii’s Best Golf Course for the third consecutive year, has a host of special events and offers teed up for the holidays and New Year.

The only Jack Nicklaus Signature Course on Kauai and featuring the longest stretch of oceanfront holes in Hawaii, the Ocean Course winds along the Pacific adjacent to Timbers Kauai — Ocean Club & Residences. GOLF CAMP WITH CHUCK COOK

A limited number of reservations are available to the public for the debut of Golf Camp with Chuck Cook, taking place January 12-15, 2020 at the Ocean Course at Hokuala.

Participants will escape to one of Hawaii’s newest and most breathtaking destinations while enhancing their golf game with expert hands-on guidance from Cook, a globally recognized instructor and member of the Golf Instructor Hall of Fame. Cook has led golf workshops worldwide, training more than 100 golf professionals in a career that spans three decades.

SWING & SAIL

Seas the day with a majestic sunrise over Kalapaki Bay along nine beautiful holes on the famed Ocean Course. Then, that afternoon, set sail on a different course by voyaging on the Kalapaki Sunset Catamaran Cruise.

Hosted by the Kauai Beach Boys, who have provided thrilling ocean expeditions for over three decades, the tour features Hawaiian Spinner dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish, humpback whales (in season) and many other types of marine life. Fruit juices, soda, bottled water, wine, beer and Wiki Wiki Tikis are all included.

TURF-N-SURF

Turf-n-Surf experience combines the island’s world-class golf and watersports. Enjoy a grand sunrise over the Ninini Point Lighthouse, then tee it up for nine holes on the island’s famed Ocean Course, which boasts one picture perfect hole after another along the majestic waters of Kauai.

Switch gears that afternoon with a two-hour stand up paddle board rental and 30-minute lesson from the renowned Kauai Beach Boys, who have provided inspiring ocean excursions for over three decades.

FOOTGOLF

The Ocean Course debuted Kauai’s only nine-hole FootGolf course in mid-November: a family-friendly way to experience the course that appeals to all ages and fitness levels.

Players tee off using a soccer ball while targeting a 21-inch diameter hole. The Ocean Course’s 9-hole, par-36 loop stretches 1,039 yards. Individual hole lengths range from 50 to 223 yards. Holes are cut into the rough to protect the greens and fairways. No special equipment is needed other than running or tennis shoes. Soccer balls can be rented from the pro shop.
