David and Colette Nagao have married for 27 years. The pair are a part of the Timbers Kauai ohana and work closely with each other. David, the Hokuala Community Association Director and Colette, Guest Services Manager practice the art of aloha each day of their lives.

“If you come to the islands and you have all the fun, but you don’t understand more about the culture, then you’re missing out on what it really means to be here,” says Ann Hettinger, co-founder of the Aloha Movement Kauaʻi.
