July 02, 2024
Ownership at Timbers Kaua‘i is an invitation to immerse yourself in a paradise where lush, emerald cliffs cascade into glistening shores, and the soft sway of palm fronds accompanies your morning coffee. Here, the spirit of aloha is interwoven with the gentle rhythm of life, offering a gateway to the island’s pristine landscapes and vibrant culture.
Discover six of our Owners’ most cherished experiences at Timbers Kaua‘i.
1. Touring The Farm at Hōkūala
Within the lush 450-acre landscape of Hōkūala, the resort in which Timbers Kaua’i is situated, lies a 16.5-acre sustainable organic farm. A short bike or golf cart ride along the scenic paved trails from the Residences brings Owners to this verdant oasis. Owners can also take a private tour to learn about the farm’s numerous native Hawaiian plants, including 12 species of traditional “canoe plants,” descended from the plants the Polynesian voyagers brought to Hawaii’s shores centuries ago in their outrigger canoes. This proud agricultural tradition keeps Hōkūala’s land connected to its storied history.
In a special ceremonial tradition, every new Owners plants and names their own coconut tree, a living symbol of their place in the Timbers Kaua‘i ‘ohana.
2. Golfing The Ocean Course
Hōkūala is home to Kaua‘i’s only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, the Ocean Course at Hōkūala. This course boasts the longest stretch of oceanfront golf in Hawai‘i, featuring remarkable ocean and mountain views. The course offers lessons from its resident PGA Professional, a favorite experience among Timbers Owners. Weekly scramble games and “Rockin’ Range” pau hana (happy hour) foster a sense of community, bringing together members of the Timbers Kaua‘i ‘ohana.
3. Biking & Walking the Trails
With an extensive network of trails, Timbers Kaua’i is a paradise for biking and walking enthusiasts. Owners can explore the exceptional landscape of the Garden Isle at their own pace, examining the tropical flora and fauna. These trails offer a peaceful retreat, ideal for leisurely strolls or bike rides amidst the lush greenery.
4. Floating on the Lagoons
36 miles of freshwater lagoons offer a serene and scenic pathway of discovery at Timbers Kaua‘i. These carefully designed habitats support endangered waterbirds, including the Nēnē, Hawai‘i’s state bird. Owners can explore the habitats around the lagoons by kayak, sailing canoe, GoBoat, or paddleboard. This family-friendly activity is a tranquil way to connect with nature and enjoy impressive views.
5. Socializing at Sunset Sessions
The sense of community among Owners at Timbers Kaua’i is often most evident at Sunset Sessions. These weekly gatherings have become a cherished tradition, offering a unique blend of socializing and relaxation that our Owners eagerly anticipate.
As the golden hues of sunset paint the sky, the lush grounds of Timbers Kaua’i come alive with the sound of laughter and conversation — the atmosphere is one of effortless relaxation, where barefoot luxury meets genuine hospitality. Owners gather to share stories, delight in live music, indulge in curated Hualani’s pupus, construct a lei, and enjoy a selection of premium spirits, fine wines, and tropical cocktails.

Timbers Kaua‘i offers a central home base on the island to easily access to Kaua‘i’s most awe-inspiring attractions.
